Welcome

As you may already know my name is Maciej Nejmantowicz. I am a Microsoft Certified software engineer focusing on Microsoft centric software development. My current career focus is web development using ASP.NET, SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services.
In my spare time, I also freelance as a computer consultant. Before I became a software engineer, I worked for many years as a network/systems administrator. This provided me with a solid networking foundation that later immensely helped me in my software engineering/development efforts.
I also love Apple products and often give demos to friends and family members on how great and easy to use they are.
Here you will find photo albums of my wife Joanna and our baby boy Adam, as well as our friends and immediate family.

Thanks for stopping by,
Maciej

This SDK allows software developers to write applications that run natively on the iPhone. Applications like the Phone or Calendar application that ships with the iPhone. The SDK is comprised on the Apple development environment named Xcode. Xcode allows you to write applications for Mac OSX and the iPhone using Objective-C, a superset of ANSI C. Cocoa is the main Mac OSX framework that one would use to write OSX applications. Cocoa Touch is a new framework that was released with the SDK that was specifically written for the iPhone.

My friend Pete and I have decided to write a native iPhone application. We do not have a clear concept yet but have begun to join the various components together. I am happy to say that Pete and I have a working application. The app does not have any content yet but does have a working UI. I hope to share my progress here with you.

As you may have already noticed I have combined my home page with my blog. This will allow you to see my blog entries immediately. I have also changed the download picture link in all my albums to download the full size of the picture, not a reduced size. Lastly I have added the ability to comment on every picture and I encourage you to do so.

As you can see I have re-designed maciejn.com. I hope that you like the new look and speed of the site. I am no longer hosting it myself so you should see a dramatic improvement in access time. If you have a keen eye you have also noticed the Made on a Mac icon on the bottom of every page. Yes this means that this entire site was made with my Mac. For those who have known me for a long time this will be a shock. I have always said that I would never buy an Apple computer but I have and am a happier person for it. I made this entire site with the new Apple iLife ’08. Specifically iWeb and iPhoto. Nothing and I mean nothing has come close to the ease of use of these great applications for the Macintosh. I am a Windows developer. I continue to develop for the Windows platform but for my website and photos I use a Mac. Anyone can do this I tell you. Its fantastic how easy it all was. With just a couple of clicks this new site was born. With a few drag and drops the photo albums were created. If you are thinking of getting a PC. Don’t. You can have the best of both worlds by purchasing a Mac. You won’t regret it!
